An awareness programme has been conducted at  Buds School, Anappara, Thiruvilwamala with a special emphasis on the need of conservation of our biodiveristy for future and the importance of medicinal plants in daily life on 25-08-2019 at 10 am. The programme was condcuted with an collaboration of Navayuga Yuvajana Sangadana, Thiruvilwamala. The programme has been inaugurated by Sri. KS Sudharsan, Superindendant of Police, Crime Branch, Thrissur. The lead lectures were taken by Dr. KM Prabhukumar, Senior Scientist, Kottakkal and Dr. Aparna S. Nair, Medical Officer, Thavalam. Many eminet personalities were attended the prgramme, Dr. Sarin P., IA & AS, (Former Controller and Auditor General of India), Sri. Thiruwilwamala Hari (Edakka Artist), Sri. Rajanarayanan (Central-State Youth Farmer Award Winner), Sri. Unnikrishan (Secretary, Navayuga Yuvajana Sangadana), Sri. Sivaraman (President, Navayuga Yuvajana Sangadana), Smt. Bindu Vijayakumar (Ward Member), Smt. Jayalalitha (Ward Member), Sri. Mohandas (Executive Member, Navayuga Yuvajana Sangadana). Seedlings of 1050 plants (including medicinal, edible and fruit plants) were distributed in the programme. More than 150 people were attended the function.
